People often ask how I found my way to birth work, but I believe it quietly found its way to me instead.
When I was thirteen, my sister invited me to witness the birth of her third baby. I was captivated. Two years later, she planned a home birth and asked if I would photograph it. Armed with nothing more than an iPhone 5 and absolutely no experience, I documented my first birth, a moment that set me on this path.
Today, I'm honored to serve families as both a doula and birth photographer. Becoming a mother to my two boys has given me an even deeper appreciation for the strength, vulnerability, and transformation that birth holds. It has only strengthened my passion for supporting women with compassionate care and preserving the moments they'll carry with them for a lifetime.
The greatest privilege of this work isn't watching babies be born. It's watching mothers be born. Seeing a woman discover the strength she carried within her all along is something I'll never stop being in awe of.
Outside of birth work, I love spending time with my husband and our boys, exploring the outdoors, catching an early sunrise, or getting lost in a good book.
